In the last two decades, 3D printing has revolutionized manufacturing by enabling cost-effective, custom-made products in a short time. This project leverages large-scale 3D printing with biopolymer filaments to create Fiore, a fully recyclable, lightweight wash basin inspired by nature. Its flower-like edge ensures usability without splashes, while an algorithmic surface design mimics corals and ripples, offering flexibility and customization.
Measuring 420x420x185mm, Fiore adheres to European standards but can be tailored for various conditions. Printed in just 37 hours using sustainable materials, the basin is ready within a week and available in multiple finishes. Its lightweight design reduces transport costs and carbon footprint, making it a sustainable and innovative solution.
