ABOUT
Ugur Imamoglu is an architect based in Istanbul, committed to innovative design and looking for ways to solve problems with creative solutions.
He studied BArch at Yildiz TU, where he graduated with honors in 2014. Following this, he pursued advanced studies at Pratt Institute, earning his Master of Science degree in 2016. During his time at Pratt, he specialized in digital fabrication and automated construction, receiving acclaim for projects such as 'Robotic Micro Housing,' which was featured on the cover of Pratt Institute's InProcess 22 publication. He graduated with the highest honor and earned the “Academic Excellence Award.” He worked with esteemed firms like SOUR and BG Architects, contributing to a diverse range of projects spanning urban design to product design until 2020.
In 2020, he started UIDworks. Since then, he has collaborated with firms and creatives from Germany, USA, South Africa, Belgium and Portugal to design innovative concepts. His services are not limited to architecture; he also offers product design and graphic design services. He has also designed proposals for national and international competitions. His recent notable achievements include winning the CEIS Design Competition 2021 for 'Ecotone' and the XONE Gold Award in 2022 for 'O-Flow,' both of which were collaborative efforts with Dilara Demiralp.
He is also the founder of minimillu, a platform established in 2019 to showcase his graphic design works. Through minimillu, his designs have reached audiences across four continents and fifteen countries, with select products prominently displayed in renowned institutions such as Istanbul's Arter and San Francisco's De Young Museum.
